Second post. Still no can do. I think folks ignored my
earlier post because of the note "Please rerun the make
command" which was kind of obvious. I failed to mention
that I did rerun it a number of times and it ALWAYS hangs
there.
I am trying to build it on a Gateway Solo 5150 SE laptop
with 160MB RAM, 600MB swap, 3GB in /usr. Again, perl58 is
the first pkg I try to build. Other than that it is a raw
NetBSD 1.6.
I re-installed NetBSD 1.6...three separate times. And
tried to make Perl first thing. I gave up on perl58 and
tried to install perl5. Pkg perl5 compiled for about 30
hours and everytime I checked it seemed to be saying the
same list of things...blah blah yes blah balh yes.
I am installing NetBSD from floppies and ftp. Then down-
loading the latest pkgsrc.tar.gz. I can get around this
problem by taring /usr, /var and all from another box.
But I would rather solve this mystery.
Here again is where perl58 hangs on make.
