i just start wondering what does pkgdb refer to. is it file
pkgdb.byfile.db
or something else? i run all the utilities as root and permissions seems
to be also ok:
drwxr-xr-x 22 root wheel 512 Nov 25 16:13 var
drwxr-xr-x 4 root wheel 512 Nov 25 13:13 db
drwxr-xr-x 139 root wheel 4096 Jan 7 15:31 pkg
the rebuild should allow rebuilding the whole database according to the
contents of the directories in the /var/db/pkg.
i tried to move pkgdb.byfile.db away and run pkg_admin rebuild again,
but again no effect, same error message.
-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 0 Jan 7 15:31 pkgdb.byfile.db
something happens - pkgdb.byfile.db has now zero size...
but anyway, thanks for help, ben.
