Hi!
NetBSD 1.6 is running on my new acquisition, a "Patriot" laptop, and
everything works fine apart from the modem and sound chip. The modem is
probably a winmodem, and isn't something I need, but the sound chip
would be a plus point. When booting I see this:
autri0 at pci0 dev 1 function 4: Silicon Integrated System SiS 7018
Sound (rev. 0x02)
autri0: interrupting at irq 5
autri0: Codec timeout. Busy writing AC'97 codec
<last message repeated many times>
autri0: Codec timeout. Busy reading AC'97 codec.

autri0: unknown (0x00000000) codec; no 3D stereo
autri0: Codec timeout. Busy reading AC'97 codec.
autri0: Codec timeout. Busy writing AC'97 codec
<last two messages repeated many times>
audio0 at autri0: full duplex, mmap, independent
midi0 at autri0: 4DWAVE MIDI UART
I looked at dev/pci/autri.c, but enlightenment was not forthcoming, so
has anyone else encountered (and solved) this problem?
Chris
