Sorry to veer off-topic, but is there a straightforward way of doing this?

I have a hpcmips client connecting through a sparc gateway over 802.11,
which I can't IPSEC easily (Mac OS9 clients don't have IPSec support),
and would like to avoid shelling out for a 1Gb Microdrive when there's 3Gb
of /export sat upstairs...
