Hi Jeff,

Have you tried continuing the install with the installer?  Though
it spews ioctl DIOCWDINFO: no disklabel on disk you should be able
to safely ignore it and continue, the installer will/should create
the label for you.

If you are intent on creating the disklabel by hand you will have
to use the options -r -I.  -I is relatively poorly documented but
it is required when there is no existing disklabel.
