i also have problems with this driver:
sometimes i need to ifconfig up / down the interface several times until it
starts to work... the driver is MUCH
better as in 1.5.2 (this one really didn't work on my laptop), but it's
still buggy :-(
hope to get an always-working driver in 1.7... ?!?
