You might want to try installing cvsup for NetBSD, it's reportedly more 
efficient and uses less resources, and cvsup.ja.freebsd.org works fine. 
(I had problems with the uk server listed however.) It's file has the 
same syntax as a supfile too, so it's nearly a drop-in replacement.
