I used mouse-pppoe under 1.5.x.  So I had this nice script that (a)
started the DSL conect and (b) fixed up the defaultroute which mouse-pppoe
somehow prevented the PPP driver from seeing/doing.

A slight adaptation of that script makes it now work with in-kernel pppoe.


I noticed something in the in-kernel pppoe documentation about on-demand
connections, though.  If I decide to make use of that, I may need to
sit down and understand what ifwatchd can do for me.  (^&
