Well after 45 minutes and 7.6Mb of data transfer (ipfstat -t)
it output the '?' lines than said:
	fork failed
	Resource temporarily unavailable
I suspect these messages are generated on the server (anoncvs).

There was no more output, not network traffic and the cvs process
became idle - so I hit ^C and abandoned it.

ipfstat still shows the connection as in state 6/5 I suspect there
is still a cvs server process at the other end - and if I've generated
one there will be a load of others :-(

Some other experiments I've done seem to imply that information
about the files I've changed get saved at the server end! This
can't do the memory requirement for anoncvs any good at all.
