bash-2.05$ ls -ld /usr
drwxr-xr-x  17 root  wheel  512 Aug 18 18:03 /usr
bash-2.05$ ls -ld /usr/pkgsrc_distfiles
drw-r--r--  4 root  wheel  6656 Aug 21 19:27 /usr/pkgsrc_distfiles
bash-2.05$ id
uid=1000(kmastin) gid=100(users) groups=100(users),0(wheel)

... I switched /usr/pkgsrc_distfiles back to 644 a while ago... as soon as 
a change has no effect I undo it.
