I can't ssh or ftp to an address, but I can ping it??? I saw another
post about a problem like this and it was suggested that his primary
nameserver was wrong. I'm using PPPoE and I take a nameserver
dynamically when I connect, so what should be done here? I read about
having resolv.conf say localhost and running named, but I'm a leaf-node
on residential DSL - named still must be configured to defer to the DNS
provided upon PPPoE initiation.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
