That's your problem. You're trying to build a current kernel with a
1.5 toolchain. Lots of stuff will be out of date. The immediate
problem you're having is caused by config(8) changes but you'll end up
with a series of other ones.

I suggest that you bootstrap a new system by using build.sh and a full
set of -current sources -- the instructions in /usr/src/BUILDING in
-current will help you. The process is completely automated and
reasonably painless if done correctly.

What's the networking issue? You running GENERIC or GENERIC_LAPTOP?
