Yes, performance is fairly irrelevant wrt web servers, as even crappy 
single hard drives can saturate a T-3...as it's barely better than 5 
MBps. Networks list speeds in bits/sec, & SCSI measures in bytes/sec, 
so a 45Mbps T-3 is 5.625 MBps...original non-fast SCSI2-class speeds.

My advice would be to get an external hardware RAID. In that case, it 
is just another hard drive, & support is not necessary (assuming it 
has an interface panel). You would just need a supported SCSI card. 
Getting a "RAID card" won't be able to give you the hot swap 
capability, unless you regularly run your server without the cover on 
;-).
