That error message is for the end user. You need to look at the thttpd
logs:

You don't really know what the problem is yet. Look at the logs.

The thttpd webpage says:
   There's a mailing list: thttpd@acme.com (thttpd-request@acme.com to
   subscribe ...

So simply email to that request address and try using "subscribe" as your
message. Or maybe you don't need to subscribe, so just email to the
mailing list -- but be sure to tell them the real problems. You might
want to search their archive first.
