Hi,

I've posted several times about NetBSD-current failing to build on my
system exactly at the same point:

Here's my previous message posted

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi,
I've posted the problem of netbsd failing to build from source couple
weeks
ago and it still fails to build exactly at the same spot:
===================================
/usr/tools/bin/i386--netbsdelf-ld -o pxeboot_ia32.sym -M -e start -Ttext

Well, I fixed the problem! It turned out that it was due to poor
configuration in my /etc/fstab file.
Somehow, NetBSD fails to build with "noatime, nodevmtime, nocoredump"
specified in the fstab.
This is my previous fstab setting when building failed all the time
exactly at the spot posted above.

========================
/dev/wd0a / ffs rw,softdep,noatime,nodevmtime,nocoredump 1 2
/dev/wd0b none swap sw 0 0
/dev/wd0e /var ffs rw,softdep,noatime,nodevmtime,nocoredump 1 1
/dev/wd0f /usr ffs rw,softdep,noatime,nodevmtime,nocoredump 1 1
/dev/wd0g /home ffs rw,softdep,noatime,nodevmtime,nocoredump 1 1
/dev/wd0h /windows msdos rw,noauto 0 0
/dev/cd0a /cdrom cd9660 ro,noauto 0 0
=========================

I now have simple fstab config and everything compiles/build correctly.

/dev/wd0a / ffs rw,softdep 1 2
/dev/wd0b none swap sw 0 0
/dev/wd0e /var ffs rw,softdep 1 1
/dev/wd0f /usr ffs rw,softdep 1 1
/dev/wd0g /home ffs rw,softdep 1 1
/dev/wd0h /windows msdos rw,noauto 0 0
/dev/cd0a /cdrom cd9660 ro,noauto 0 0

Note that I took out the "noatime,nodevmtime,nocoredump" options!
