hi

first of all i am new to netbsd.
i want to install netbsd now as a nfs, samba and mysql server.
before i tried to install netbsd it was running freebsd.
now i got 2 questions:

1. i always got the message, that there are overlapping partitions or
not one netbsd partition.
i tried it several times to get not this message, but missed.
i want to understand what that means or what mistake i made.
if i only do 1 partition with 3gb, this means i am under the
cyl 1023, it works.
if i do 2 partition, one with 3gb and one with the rest (5gb),
i always get that message.
i got no overlapping partitions, i looked about it several times,
with size in megabytes, in cylinders and in sectors.

2. i can not mount the old freebsd fstype partitions.
i always got the message old .... partition type or something
like this, sorry i forgot to write it down.
is it possible do get this partition mounted without a change ?
or do i need to backup the data and get everything done clean ?
i mean new disklabel and format.

do not answer like, go away use freebsd or something like this, please.
i am willing to get it running and i only need a point to start.

and i do not want to start with questions left behind, i need to
understand what and why i do it.

i am now searching for answers, but i do not no where to start,
hope i will find it here.
