Hei!

I have a Netgear FA311 network card, that I try to use with NetBSD since
the 1.5.2 release.

In NetBSD-1.5.2 the card is detected and I can configure it
(ifconfig), but it never works. It cannot reach the network, although
everything is setup correctly. If I replace it with a realteak card and
rename ifconfig_sip0 to ifconfig_rtk, the network works fine.

Yesterday I have installed NetBSD-1.5.2 again and today I have upgraded
to 1.5.3_ALPHA. The card is still found, but whenever I run 'ifconfig
sip0 192.168.1.12 netmask 0xffffff00' the kernel panics. :(

configuring network interfaces: sip0
uvm_fault(0xe3d4b2f0,_0xe0000,_0,3) -> 1
kernel: page fault trap, code=0
Stopped in ifconfig at m_freem+0x67: movl %eax, 0x38(%edx)

Here is the dmesg output:

sip0 at pci0 dev 10 function 0: NatSemi DP83815 10/100 Ethernet
sip0 interruption at irc 11
sip0 Ethernet address 00:02:e3:02:d7:22
ukphy0 at sip0 phy0: Generic IEEE 802.3v media interface
ukphy0: OUI 0x080017, model 0x0002, rev. 1
ukphy: 10baseT, 10baseT-FDX, 100baseTX, 100baseTX-FDX, auto

On http://www.netbsd.org/Hardware/pci.html the netgear fa311 is listed
as a supported pci device. Anyone out there that got this card working
with NetBSD? (It runs fine with FreeBSD and OpenBSD)
Better I get a new card, hmm? D-Link DFE-550 TX should work, right?

Regards,
Herbert
