The posting that you refer to only mentions that it is supported in
NetBSD-current (ie not yet in an official release, currently under
development), not in 1.5.x. Unless the changes necessary were "pulled
up" to the 1.5 branch, it will not be supported in any of those
releases.

Try installing the most recent NetBSD-current snapshot at
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/arch/i386/snapshot/20020104-1.5ZA
(keeping in mind that it may have minor problems here and there, since
it is just a build of what happened to be in CVS that day, not
something that has gone through a full test cycle).
