I think you mean "ick" or "ugh", not "ack".  :-;

Remember your X.25?  "ACK" is "Acknowledged, got your packet" as
opposed to "NAK",  "not acknowledged, problem in transmission, send
again".  I think two acks is outside the specification, but I could be
wrong.  It's been awhile.
