Hi,

If you install NetBSD, we will be glade to help you get your scanner and
burner going.

You can find the installation instuction on netbsd.org, and if I were you
I would just dump xp because of all the security problems. To give you an
idea of how stable NetBSD is look at this:

agnus# uptime
 3:24PM up 67 days, 20:25, 4 users, load averages: 1.11, 1.14, 1.09
agnus#

Unfortunately, we can't help you with xp, this list is for NetBSD only. If
for some reason you do decide to keep xp, then the best advice I can give
you is to take you computer somewhere to have it fix. Sorry :/
