ok, I am trying to set up a printer server for a network on my netbsd 1.5.2 box.

I connect my printer to the lpt port at the back, reboot.
on boot it shows the port, also the printer makes that booting noise that it does.

So I am using the guide

I start from the begining, the lpd daemon is running, I checked that.

include are my printcap file and my lpfilter, I did all the permissions and stuff on this, created the dir in /var/spool/lpd

I have a lexmark 1100 color printer, when I run the lptest it form feeds and does nothing, sometimes I get a grinding because the head wants to move but it won't, I 
checked the printer is physically fine, it can print from windows just fine.

I stopped when it said basic printing should work.

I have read on the net the exisitance of a driver for this printer, I can't get it though, the site is no more and the guy's email don't work.

Someone else said drives for an HP 600 work too.

How do I install these drivers? how do I make them work?
Do I need to carry on and go through the ghostscript section and install the sdrivers into ghost script?
