Hi Everyone,

I have used colorls in the past with bash using the following.

in .bash_profile -->  export LSCOLORS="4x4x....
in /root/.bashrc -->  alias ls='colorls -G'

after starting X the colors work fine, but, in the initial
login before starting X all file types that have a color
associated with them simply show up as black!!

So my questions

A) is there something I can do to have colors display fine from my origial
shell?

B) if I cant do this, can I export and alias when KDE is starting up, this
way my initial login would be without color, but once in K I could use the
colors that seem to be working fine once in K?

Thanks,

PEte
