find out how your network card is named.
(maybe the dmesg command helps)
then create a file like this. One of my cards is tlp1.
dave@alice>cat /etc/ifconfig.tlp1
inet firewall.turbocat.de netmask 255.255.255.252 

After reboot or /etc/rc.d/network restart all should be ok.
