I am having an "interesting" time trying to build xsrc with USE_XF86_4=yes
in /etc/mk.conf, and

#define BuildFreetype2Library   NO
#define Freetype2Dir            /usr/local

in /usr/xsrc/xfree/xc/config/cf/host.def
afterall, this is what my system already says:

% freetype-config --prefix
/usr/local
% freetype-config --version
7.0.1
% freetype-config --cflags
-I/usr/local/include/freetype2

so I don't particularly feel like installing yet another copy.

Have any of you managed to do this?

I see many #ifdef FREETYPE2 s about the place, but my impression is that it
doesn't get defined. Defining it by hand helps a little, but not much.. The
problems are all in xsrc/xfree/xc/lib/Xft..

Cheers,

Patrick
