James and All,

James recommended I reboot from telnet after lockup of X 
by KDM. But I observe that along with the ttyE0-E1 and 
also X, my already-logged-in telnet connection is lost. 
NetBSD won't answer a ping (when it would before). So I 
assume that the CPU is lost too.

Further info is that my /root/.xsession.errors file 
contains...

???gus.starling.ws???

...where the "???" are apparent binary.

Does this ring any bells?
