No, it did not happen for my TNT2 card with a xsrc/xc based XFree_SVGA (or
whatever that was called, don't have it around any more).
It started to happen after I upgraded to a xsrc/xfree based server.
Besides, the argument was: it has to be fixed in X, not in wscons.
