Thanks Brian! with your instruction i got most of it to work.. My machine 
was connected but its just that the routing table was not set up after 
connection was made.. i then manually add in the routes and i can now 
connect to the Internet fine.. I know this is not elegant.. but for now it 
will do.. i shall look into further how to automate this.. :)
