All,
I am trying to do something with the automounter that I can't figure out
how to do. I want to automount /home from an NFS server. So far, the only
thing I have gotten to work is mounting /home/$user, but this isn't
acceptable in my case, for this is a NIS master and I need to be able to
create new directories in /home with adduser as necessary.
Right now, my /etc/amd/master looks like this:
/home /etc/amd/amd.home
..and /etc/amd/amd.home looks like:
* type:=nfs;rhost:=server;rfs:=/home/${key}
Were this not a NIS master, I would be perfectly happy with the above
setup. $user logs in, /amd/server/home/$user gets mounted and
appropriate symlink is added in /home. However, I cannot "mkdir
/home/$foo" like this, nor can I use the "-m" argument to adduser to create
home directories.
Can somebody provide me with some examples?
TIA,
Jeff
