Currently, plex86 isn't in a state where you can safely run it
as a normal user. For example, it allocates a large chunk of
kernel memory for each virtual machine, so a normal user could
easily make the kernel run out of memory.

I think a raw disk device should work.. haven't tried it, though.

Remember that plex86 is still very much under development. The source
does contain some example config files, though.
