I am sorry, I do not have (and also no experience with a machine similar to
yours).

But maybe you should give xfdisk a try, you can find this on
http://home.pages.de/~xfdisk if I remember that correctly. It successful
boots NetBSD on my Laptop (IDE, shared with Win2k) and my old P100 (SCSI,
separate disk from the NT4 installation).
