the idea is to use Xwrapper when you want to invoke only the X server
manually as a user, and link "X" to the XF86_* server executable
(which isn't setuid root).
The startx script, which is normally used to start a non-xdm X session
as a user logged in on the console is supposed to use Xwrapper,
as I see it, I always start X automatically via xdm at system start.
