Hi,

I need to connect to a SGI file server via NFS with a NetBSD-1.5 system.

First step seems to be setting up NIS. I putted the NIS-domainname in
/etc/defaultdomain configured ypbind=3Dyes in /rc.conf and got=20

=09ypbind: Unable to register (YPBINDPROG, YPBINDVERS, udp).

during startup.

We have here two NIS-domains, so to be sure that my system connects to the
right server I putted the servername in a file called=20

=09/var/yp/binding/"my.domain.name".ypserver

and that name with ip in /etc/hosts. Same result. Any hints?
