Hi everyone

A few days back, I wrote of a keyboard problem I was having... here's the system
specs again:

- AMD 5x86 CPU, 133MHz
- 64 megs non-parody RAM
- SIS PCI 486 mainboard, UMC chipset (built in IDE)
- Creative Labs Soundblaster 16 Vibra C chipset
- S3 Virge 375DX 4 meg PCI video
- SMC Ultra16 ISA 10Mbit Ethernet card set to Soft-config mode
- 850 meg Western Digital Hard drive (PRI IDE0)
- 528 meg Maxtor hard drive (SEC IDE0)
- Mitsumi 6X CDROM (SEC IDE1)

A correction from before was the soundcard - it's a Vibra series SB16 (forgot I
swapped the old Value for that one some time ago). Anyway, I got some
suggestions of what to do. Some suggestions were that I should check for a PS/2
port that might be conflicting, but it turns out there is no PS/2 controller on
the board. I also had a patch recommended to me, but I can't apply it since I
can't get to any usable part of the OS. In keeping an eye on the boot-up
display, the keyboard is initialized at its proper IRQ, 1, but it becomes
unavailable almost immediately after the start of the boot process. If I stop
the boot process and drop to the prompt (you know, the message that says "Press
enter to continue or any other key to go to the boot prompt" or something like
that. The keyboard works fine at that point, so it's definitely something
loaded right afterwards. I've tried over a dozen changes to the BIOS and its
hardware addressing but nothing seems to make a difference, so does any one have
any other ideas or tips?
