I have a server machine and some client ones. Actually I export directly
the /usr and /var/db, so that I (and who will come after me) can install
the packages on any machine and all others will benefit from that.
But, I hence have a problem with X (namely, the X link), that is different
machines use different servers. So far I created a directory /local and
put the X server in there (X -> /local/Xserver), but that is an ugly
workaround. Even worse, if I wanted to cache some of the files (getty, or
all other files which ARE locally present) I couldn't if not putting them
in some other directory.
Mount_union has a (very!) userful function to search before on the
below directory and then on the above, and I'd really like to see
something similar in NFS (I couldn't figure out how to do that).
Any help would be REALLY appreciated!
Thanks!
