Hi,
You will not see a /cdrom in dev. The / infront indicates that it
is at the root level of the file system. cd / and then type ls -l. If
you do
not see a cdrom entry then do a: mkdir /cdrom
And then to mount it: mount /dev/cd1a /cdrom
