I've tried two different SCSI tape drives and a SCSI CD changer with chio
on NetBSD and they all worked just fine in terms of switching tapes. One of
the tape drives was an Archive (later bought by Seagate, I believe) with a
similar sounding model number (although it doesn't look anything like the
picture of the Peregrine on Seagate's web page).

So, while I haven't tried your specific drive, my limited sampling would
indicate that the ch devices seem to be fairly standardized.
