Until recently, NetBSD/i386 would croak if dropped on a machine with
as little as 1GB of RAM.  (i believe this was fixed in time for 1.4.1,
though i'm not entirely sure.)

Unless i'm mistaken, use of e.g. 4GB requires support we just don't
have in NetBSD/i386... but i'm not an x86 expert.


... so, if you want to get something similar in terms of hardware, at
least, i think you're likely out of luck.
