I had a perfectly running network printer, running under NetBSD 1.4.1.
However, after installing Linux_lib from the package sources, and installing
wordperfect 8, I am no longer able to print, or get lpq information. Even
after shutting down word perfect and X, and running lpr or lpq from root, I
get the following message:

"Sep 11 14:19:43 lpd[2077]: unable to get official name for local machine"

When running lpq, the following is received:

"Warning: unable to gt official name for local machine
no entries"

The lock file has:
	2077
	cfA005

and the .seq file has
	006

So these are being accessed.

The following is my printcap file entry:

lp|epson|stylus:\
	:lp=/dev/null:rm=192.168.100.141:rp=aux:\
	:sd=/var/spool/lpd/epson:\
	:lf=/var/log/lpd-errs:\
	:sh:pw#80:mx#0:pl#66:tr=\f:fo:

I am not using a print filter yet.

This configuration worked just fine before installing Linux_lib and wordperfect.

Does anyone have an idea what is going on?
