	X behaves strangely on my machine too. If I start it either with xdm or
startx, all the remaining virtual terminals become balck on black, and they
remain invisible when i quit X. I have an S3 virge DX videocard, if it
counts.

	Another question: how can I enable the home/end keys on a standard 101 key
board using wscons?
