Strangely, under 1.4.1, a machine I've borrowed hangs whenever you
touch the ATAPI CD-ROM. (An identically configured machine does the
same so I don't think its bad drives per se.)

The errors are

pcide:1:0: Lost interrupt
	type atapi
	c_bcount: 32
	c_skip: 0

after printing that, it goes legs up and won't respond to anything at
all...
