I need to retrieve the disk label from a C/C++ program - not the entire
disk statistics, but just the actual name the disk was labeled with. I
have a brute force method of scanning through a captured disklabel file
for this field, but am wondering if there is an elegant way to retrieve
the disk label only.

Thanks
  Bruce Martin
