Hi,

I was checking out the GLib 1.2.3 distribution (from http://www.gtk.org).
The 'configure' script produced the following.

	loading cache ./config.cache
checking for a BSD compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking whether build environment is sane...
configure: error: ls -t appears to fail.
Make sure there is not a broken alias in your environment
configure: error: newly created file is older than distributed files!
	Check your system clock

I checked the man page for ls(1) and the -t option is there. I tried 'ls
-lt' and it works as expected. I copied it to and tried it on the Digital
Unix system and it did not produce any errors.

It you have seen this problem and fixed it, please let me know.

I am running
	NetBSD behemoth NetBSD 1.3.3 (DREO) #0: Mon Mar 1 10:46:51 EST 1999
	marinier@behemoth:/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/DREO i386
with
	GNU bash, version 2.02.0(1)-release (i386-pc-netbsd1.3.2)
and
	-r-xr-xr-x 1 bin bin 147456 Dec 11 17:43 /bin/ls*

The Digital UNIX is V4.0E (Rev. 1091); Thu May 20 08:51:15 EDT 1999.

Thanks.
