Have you tried running tcpdump on that machine/interface to make sure that the
requests coming in at least:
a) get there and
b) look correct?
Im not sure on NetBSD/FDDI support but if the request isnt getting to the
server, can you check that at least its getting into the machine? Its a point
to work backwards from.
