Subject: sick floppy on i386.

I just rearranged one of my i386 machines a little so I could close it up.

But now its floppy drive is not happy. The green LED stays on all the time,
the drive can read disks just fine, but it can't write anything without both
getting an error and trashing the track it was trying to write to.

Could this be a typical infant mortality scenario for PC floppies? The drive
is only a few months old. Or did I manage to fry it somehow.
