Hi, Im new on this list and actually I dislike mailinglists but I have to ask
this question about an Amiga installation of netBSD.

I am a user of a A4000 with a 4.1gig Fujitsu IDE Drive as IDE unit 0 and a x4
MITSUMI 4xCD as IDE unit 1

My A4000 have 16 partitions.
Partition 3 is "SWAP:" on 50mb and is used as the swappartition and have
miniroot unpacked in it.
Partition 4 is "ROOT:" on 100mb
Partition 5 is "VAR:" on 248mb and will be used for /usr and /usr/local
The linux partitions are prepared according to the installation manual and
have been rechecked a couple of times.
Partition 6 is "linuxffs:" on 70mb, my only FFS partition with the following
files in it :
base.tgz 9228161
comp.tgz 6878302
device-streams.tar.gz 71318
etc.tgz 53878
games.tgz 2974239
loadbsd 8956
man.tgz 2480838
miniroot.fs 4194304
misc.tgz 2238124
netbsd 1856485
rdbinfo 1856485
secr.tgz 768513
start 21 <- used to run loadbsd -b netbsd
text.tgz 1007957
xbase.tgz 2483259
xcomp.tgz 1649928
xcontrib.tgz 182274
xfont.tgz 5930317
xserver.tgz 1579558
xstreamtodev 23072

the rest of the partitions are AmiFileSystem, 1 MS-Dos partition and 3
Amcintosh formatted partitions.

when running loadbsd -b netbsd
netBSD loads normally when removing my not working CV643d from the Zorro
slots. (Probably the card dont work becouse of an old buster revision, I have
ordered a new one but it have not arrived yet).
Soon I will be asked to type in my root partition (sd0a as default) and using
the installation manual i type in "sd0b".
Then the installationprogram ask med for a "dump". The manual does not include
this and default is "sd0b". I have tested with sd0a and sd0b but the same
problem occures.
I press enter when choosing filesystem and "ffs" came up as default.

I choose "sd0" as the root device further on and a error message wich reads
"disklabel /dev/rdonec No such file or directory" comes up. Probably a small
bug, I ignored it.

The the installation programs declare that I should configure the filesystems
but then suddenly the installation progress quits itself with the following
error message:
The following will be used for the root filesystem:
sd0a /
/install: cannot create /tmp/filesystems : read only file system
#

typing "install" again skips the choose-partition step and ends up with the
same error-message.
I have also tried to change the "root" partition and the "dump" partition to
my other partitions aviable (the LinuxFFS partition and the VAR: partition)
but that does not work at all.

Thats my problem, and the FAQ or bugreports did not help me :(
