Oh yes, this is the first thing I tried. At moment I have fully working
system under FreeBSD and Linux ( wdc0, wdc1, wdc2, four IDE drives and one
atapi CDROM ). I also added two devices to the wdc2 for experimenting (
CDROM and one IDE disk ) and this mix works wonderfully. I think the
NetBSD support for atapi cdrom's etc. is slightly poor nowadays, IMHO. On
second thought I like NetBSD a bit more than FreeBSD, because under NetBSD
I have good support for my PnP GUS and I have no care adding the wdc2 to
kernel config. There are some difficulties to point out why the IO_WD3
gives me an error at first try, when I compile kernel under FreeBSD with
wdc2 support. I emphasize that I'm not programmer in any way and this was
a problem for me. Under situations like this kernel config file comments
are very good, but there are no comment for IO_WD3 etc...Then I searched
through the source and found a isa.h file which haves defines all this
stuff...damn, all this wastes my time.

I mean this cry is specifically for FreeBSD team, so excuse me wasting
bandwidth and thanks for reading.

Sincerely
