Or even if you are tracking current go into /usr/src/etc/etc.i386/
and type  "install -c MAKEDEV /dev".   MAKEDEV *doesn't* get updated
in a "make build".

(I don't know if this is a bug, or just a difference of expectations,
but I'd certainly prefer it if MAKEDEV were installed at build time.)
