Hi.

Apparently, moving a 50mb file to a memory filesystem on a 64mb Pentium-100
machine is a bad idea. Anyhow, it deadlocked my machine. After reset,
there are a few strange symptoms.

First thing, my message buffer continuously was filled with:

pmap_pagetable: bad PT page va 10040000 next fa57255c

line after line after line...

reboot

Ok, now I launch xmcd. It dumps core with a seg fault. gdb reveals that
it's trying to draw to the screen (XDrawTextLine or something else
similar). Launching xmcd without a CD in the drive, it comes up ok, but
just beeps at me when I tell it (via software) to open the CD tray. This
appears in my message buffer:

cd0(ncr0:6:0): asynchronous.

I can still open manually and insert a cd, which causes xmcd to dump core
upon reading the cd.

Any ideas on this one?

Must have tunes to grind Java code... :)
