Subject: Split password maps for YP

Hi folks -
I've got a question that I've been worrying at for the last week or so...
I'm running a sparc 2 with -current for a YP server on our network, and would
like to have it serve the YP maps, but not have users enabled for logins.
So, I seperated the password maps - the /etc/passwd (and /etc/master.passwd)
contains just the bare minimum of entries, basically the dist one plus the
YP entry (+:*:...). My yp password map contains all of the non-system accounts
that I need.
Now this works great for most things, but I've run into a snag... users cannot
change their passwords - rpc.yppasswdd will only work with the default location
in /etc, which nukes the system files....
Has anyone tried a setup like this? If so, I'd GREATLY appreciate any insights
you might have toward a solution...
Thanks in advance,
Ken
