Well, speaking only for the NetBSD part (other Cc-s left off): I know
that the NetBSD/amiga 'siop' driver uses this chipset at least, so it
should be possible to make that driver machine-independent so that it
can be used on other architectures as well.

However, I don't know how much work it would be and if someone has
thought about doing this.
